It's that time of year! Yesterday we went to the Fall Antique Show in Roundtop, Texas. Roundtop is a very small town between Houston and Austin with a population of about 90. Twice a year it's home to one of the largest antique fairs in the US. The festival has thousands of dealers who line the streets with tents and displays during early April and early October. Attending the market has become a great tradition in our house, one that we look forward to all year!
It was a ridiculously hot day, so my memory of things is a little hazy. We brought along a third team player yesterday :), which added to the fun though! After about four hours of searching for vintage and antique items for our houses, we had to take a break and go visit the Rachel Ashwell shop at the Prairie for some shopping indoors with the AC. I got this great striped pillow on sale for $23! My mom got a cute Lily Ashwell dress marked down from a summer sale. Overall we did well- I required two huge lemonades and about a gallon of water, followed by some Oreos to keep up my stamina. We might go back one more time with a truck to pick up some furniture though. One of my favorite vendors this year was Junkology from Georiga. Things I got- more lanterns like the ones I found last year, a little wire box, some framed stuff, and a really great arch for our backyard garden!
